Yesterday Throttle Roll kicked off with another amazing event.
I decided to take a different approach and photograph the punters bikes that were parked in the surrounding areas.
Lots of crazy customs on show.
It was an early start down at Palmie boat ramp to help shoot the final footage for the doco teaser that is Chasing Canguro. If you haven’t heard about this awesome and ambitious water skiing challenge then check out http://www.chasingcanguro.com.au to get up to speed.
We had the latest Phantom Drone in action flown by 2 full qualified ex pilots. Marcus OB had his MOBI rig and Canon 1DC to help capture some silky smooth HD action footage. You can view a previous shoot I helped out on with the MOVI at https://vimeo.com/84082718. This thing is EPIC!! The boys also had there new branding out and about on show. Hard to miss them on the water.
Here are some stills I shot on the Canon 1DX to document the event. I used a combination of 35L f1.4 and 70-200L f2.8II to capture the action!
More exciting stuff to come very shortly!
Just Jeans also had me working on their Summer campaign with the gorgeous Shanina. You may recognise her from the recent JJ commercial. She is also one of the lucky few models to be chosen to represent Victoria Secret.
The house we shot at had the most incredible backdrop which was just asking to be captured with a time lapse. Click on the video link below to see mother nature turning it on in fast forward!
Carrying on with Sport Stars and fashion brands I teamed up with Ad Agency giant Ogilvy to get some exclusive images with Adam Scott before the Australian Open late last year. Nothing like hanging out and getting a few golf tips from the world number 3!!
I told him I always wear two pairs of pants when playing golf. He asked why and I replied..
“In case I get a hole in one!!”
Adam was a real gent and too easy to work with.
Last year was a busy one. I worked with some big names on some big campaigns with big clients. Here are a few images from the New Zealand Just Jeans campaign with SBW.
This beast of a human was a gentle giant and a really joy to work with. Shame he is an All Black….jokes aside it was a great day shooting!
Yesterday I went to a big Bollywood studio and found myself shooting some behind the scenes stuff.
It was a real eye opener how they go about shooting. The studio (if you could call it that) was absolutely filthy!!
I was assured that this was a low budget shoot. The chief photographer (pictured) was making about $200 for a 12 hour day of shooting which I hear is a pretty good rate… puts things in perspective right!
